SQB Presents Its AI Transformation Vision and Achievements at the International AI Tech Summit 2026 in Belgrade

SQB presented its approach to artificial intelligence adoption and the bank’s technological development at the international AI Tech Summit 2026 in Belgrade — one of Europe’s notable platforms dedicated to artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
Representing SQB, Sergey Kozlov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Management Board, delivered a presentation titled “AI Transformation and Building an AI-Driven SQB Bank.”
The key focus of the presentation was SQB’s practical experience in moving from individual AI pilots to a systematic bank-wide transformation. SQB’s approach is based on the principle that artificial intelligence should be integrated not only into individual products, but also into decision-making processes, employees’ day-to-day work, customer services, and the bank’s overall operating model.
One of the central elements of this transformation is the corporate AI platform SQB.Nova. Developed by the bank as a unified technological layer for scaling AI solutions across different business areas, the platform brings together generative and predictive AI, multilingual voice processing technologies, document processing, traditional ML models, banking data and corporate knowledge, integration mechanisms, and other technological capabilities within a secure banking environment.
“For us, artificial intelligence is not simply about the number of models or pilots. What matters is the bank’s ability to systematically and repeatedly deploy AI across different business functions by using a common platform, data, processes, and standards. Each new AI product should leverage capabilities that have already been created, making implementation faster and simpler,” said Sergey Kozlov.

Particular attention during the presentation was given to the development of AI technologies in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. Global AI solutions require adaptation to local languages, banking practices, data requirements, and regulatory environments.
At SQB, AI transformation is being pursued as part of the broader digitalisation of Uzbekistan’s banking sector and economy. The bank places particular emphasis on developing employee capabilities, increasing the technological maturity of business processes, and creating the conditions for the large-scale application of AI across various areas of its operations.
SQB’s participation in AI Tech Summit is part of the bank’s international positioning as a technologically advancing financial institution from Central Asia. Sharing the stage with representatives of OpenAI, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Intel, Siemens, Accenture, and Lloyds Banking Group reflects SQB’s active engagement in the global discussion on the practical and industrial application of artificial intelligence.
