The international rating agency "Sustainable Fitch" has assigned Uzpromstroybank an ESG rating at level “3” with an overall score of 59, noting that the bank is actively implementing principles of environmental, social, and corporate responsibility to ensure sustainable development.
As highlighted in the agency's report, in recent years, the bank has paid particular attention to financing "green" projects aimed at environmental protection. The bank continues to support inclusivity and equal opportunities within its system, as well as aligning corporate governance practices with international standards.
Specifically, the bank’s loans are directed towards projects in the fields of energy efficiency, the rational use of renewable energy sources, and environmentally friendly transport. As a result, it is planned that the share of "green" loans in the bank’s credit portfolio will increase to 30 percent by 2030.
The Fitch report on sustainability also emphasized the bank’s commitment to equality and inclusivity in the social sphere, the provision of favorable working conditions, fair wages, and employee satisfaction within the system.
"Corporate governance in the banking system is characterized by transparency, a clear division of responsibilities between governing bodies, and adherence to international standards. This ensures a high level of control and decision-making, strengthening trust among clients and partners," the agency’s conclusion states.
Overall, the agency confirmed that, with its ESG rating, the bank is striving for economic development that combines social and environmental responsibility.
